Non-Medicare Retiree Medical Coverage

About Your Benefits

The State Employee Health Plan (SEHP) offers four medical plans (Plans A, C, J, and N). Medical benefit coverage is provided through your choice of Aetna or Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS).

Each vendor offers its own unique network of contracting providers. Consider each vendor’s provider networks

before making your selection.

All medical plan options include Prescription Benefits, Preferred Lab Benefits and 100% coverage for preventive services when using a Network provider, including annual preventive exams, age-appropriate immunizations, mammograms, colonoscopies, etc.

Prescription Benefits

When you elect medical coverage, you automatically receive prescription drug coverage through CVS Caremark.

Preferred Lab Benefits

The Preferred Lab Benefit, included with all five medical plans for the SEHP, is offered through the below providers.

The Preferred Lab Benefit is completely voluntary. If you and your healthcare provider choose to use a lab other than one of the Preferred Lab Vendors, you still have lab coverage through your medical plan. By selecting to use one of the labs below, members will receive a discount.
